PROJECT
Landscape Design and existing building reconstruction of Attiki beaches
CLIENT
Greek National Tourism Organisation
DATE
2002
In the 1960s, the local Tourism Authority developed several beaches in Athens with modernist facilities that respected the natural environment and reflected the post-war lifestyle of Greece. However, these facilities fell into decay over time. Recently, they were privatized and renovated by new owners.
The design for a resort entrance was part of one of these renovation projects. It aimed to be a landmark and a ‘sign’ for the resort, while also maintaining a connection with the modernist style of the existing buildings.
